Who Is the Father of Paddy's Baby in Goliath

Forget the strange, parallel world the teenagers of New Ham appear to be living in, the biggest mystery in The Society is who the heck Becca's baby's father is.

Grace Victoria Cox - who plays New Ham activist and co-leader Lexie in the dystopian drama - says she doesn't even know, but hopes that if a season 2 is commissioned by Netflix, we'll all be enlightened with the knowledge of who Eden's dad really is.

"I have no clue! I don't know, so I'm just as excited to figure it out as everyone else," the Under the Dome star told Cosmopolitan UK.

Fans of The Society have devised a theory that Campbell could be the father of Becca's daughter. Some think Becca - played by Gideon Adlon - could have had a one-off fling with Campbell because she spends so much time with his brother Sam - proximity and all that -which could have pushed her closer to him.

Others have suggested a darker storyline that Campbell may have attacked Becca - he is shown to be physically and emotionally abusive and controlling towards Elle throughout season 1.

When Eden is born, Kelly (Kristine Froseth) tells Becca that Eden has Sam's eyes - could that be Eden's family resemblance to Campbell?

Grace also admitted that she missed the cryptic storyline featuring Elle's adopted dog Charlie, who suddenly vanished without trace from New Ham, only to return months later to West Ham in the show's bleak finale.

Elle (played by Olivia DeJonge) suspected that abusive boyfriend Campbell (Toby Wallace) had killed him. I mean, if he can pull wings of a bird...

"I don't know what happened but I didn't pick up on any of the dog stuff, I don't know where my brain was when I was reading the script and so then when I watched the show I was like, 'Oh my god, what is happening with this dog situation, this is crazy!' Um, so yeah have no clue but I can't wait to find out," Grace said.

Meanwhile, Grace also revealed that Lexie wasn't originally meant to be in the pilot, but after chatting with show-runner Christopher Keyser about where her character was going, they decided it was integral to Lexie's evolution to have her in the first episode. Lexie ends up winning her peers over when she vies for leadership as Mayor of New Ham, having been mistreated by ex-Mayor Allie's (Kathryn Newton) guards. She stands up for what she believes in, although some doubt she has the capability to govern the town solo.

"She's kind of hidden at the beginning, you see just enough of her to know that she's a little odd, and I really love how she comes to into a position of power in the political arena in New Ham, and that's really cool to see her step out of the background and common a room like she does," the Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile actress explained.

"Lexie originally wasn't in the first episode of the show, she was a character that came in later in the early episodes and I met with Chris Keyser and he explained to me the character of Lexie, and I was just so on board after meeting with him because she's such a cool character. I had read the pilot and really wanted to be involved in the show, but she was added into the pilot later.

"I just know that she ended up being such a force in the show that I think later on, it makes sense to establish this character a little bit earlier just so know she's a risk."

The series ended with Lexie and Harry sharing joint power over New Ham, which is a poisoned chalice they learn the hard way after being slyly manipulated by Campbell behind the scenes.

Grace added: "I would love to see Lexie trying to rule New Ham and because of Campbell and the guard and Harry, it just going terribly and all of the chaos that they would get into I think that would be really fun to act and for people to watch."
